She Was Not Broken

May 30, 2019

Some clients, you just click with. Courtney was one of those clients for me. She first contacted me while she was moving back home after an unexpected break-up. She was absolutely determined to pick up her broken pieces and move forward and I loved her strength and determination to remain positive for herself. What better way to reconnect with yourself as an individual than to strip down to your natural state and lay it all out. She was so ready to check boudoir off her bucket list!

The moment that she walked into the studio the first thing I noticed was her bright blue eyes. I knew we were going to have a lot of fun and I was going to overshoot like crazy that day!

“I did the shoot for myself, to help love myself more and it did just that. I felt confident because I was brave enough to do something out of my comfort zone. I still feel confident and like a badass because of that. I loved all my photos, and also love myself. “

It can be tough to reconnect with who you are as an individual after you’ve been part of a couple. You’ve got to find a way to get back to your basics and find who YOU are. I have seen boudoir sessions be so therapeutic for women recovering from a break up. It’s wonderful watching these women see that there’s nothing wrong with them, they’re not broken, they don’t need to be fixed.
